Park Su-geun Centennial ExhibitionPark Su-geun’s works condense and accumulate the sentiments the Korean people have shared and felt throughout history, and perhaps, it is only natural that they move the hearts of many until today. Despite living through Korea’s most difficult years, Park maintained a warm gaze toward families and neighbors, and the emotions he embodied in the characters of his paintings still ring through modern viewers. Additionally, the show will present historical materials provided by Kim Daljin Art Research and Consulting Institute and a documentary film from Yanggu Park Soo Keun Museum, helping visitors understand the era and circumstances Park had lived in through multiple perspectives. In spite of the incessant changes and confusion of values that the modern world presents us, Park’s works allow us to experience the immortal, timeless beauty that only art can provide.
