Ayako Rokkaku’s solo exhibition *Breathing with the Chaos*, held at Total Museum of Contemporary Art, explores the sensations and vitality that emerge from within chaos through vivid colors and the artist’s free, intuitive hand movements.

Rather than using brushes, Rokkaku applies, pushes, and blends paint directly with her fingers. Layers of color and line, ambiguous forms, and spontaneous traces reveal a state of chaos in which multiple emotions and images coexist, while simultaneously creating a new order shaped by color and rhythm.

The exhibition highlights the expansion of Rokkaku’s artistic practice across a range of media, including paintings, works on cardboard, wooden objects, and sculptures.
