오케이앤피 부산은 2026년 8월 27일(목)부터 9월 30일(수)까지 《SEARCHING2》을 개최한다.
후쿠오카의 전시 공간 cassette에서 시작된 《SEARCHING》은 이번 전시를 통해 부산으로 이어진다. 《SEARCHING 2》에는 하나이 유스케(Yusuke Hanai), 나이젤 그라프(NAIJEL GRAPH), 빌 레브홀츠(Bill Rebholz), 제프리 신치치(Jeffrey Sincich), 차푸름(Pooreum Cha) 등 한국·미국·일본을 기반으로 활동하는 11명의 작가가 참여한다. 서로 다른 지역과 매체를 배경으로 한 작가들은 서핑을 둘러싼 인물과 풍경, 도시와 해안, 유머와 고독의 감각을 각자의 방식으로 풀어낸다.
이번 전시는 서핑을 하나의 스포츠나 취미로 한정하지 않고, 파도를 찾아 움직이고 기다리는 과정에서 형성되는 감각과 태도에 주목한다. 좋은 파도를 찾기 위해 바람과 조류, 날씨와 해안의 변화를 관찰하고 자신의 리듬을 조율하는 서퍼의 움직임에서 출발해, 이러한 ‘탐색’의 태도가 예술과 일상의 감각으로 확장되는 과정을 살펴본다.
작품과 실제 서핑 문화가 한 공간에서 교차하는 《SEARCHING 2》를 통해 서핑을 ‘무엇을 하는가’보다 ‘어떻게 바라보고 살아가는가’의 태도로 새롭게 마주할 수 있다.

Originating at the Fukuoka exhibition space cassette, 《SEARCHING》 continues its journey in Busan with 《SEARCHING 2》. The exhibition brings together 11 artists based in Korea, the United States, and Japan, including Yusuke Hanai, NAIJEL GRAPH, Bill Rebholz, Jeffrey Sincich, and Pooreum Cha. Working across different regions and media, the artists explore figures and landscapes surrounding surf culture, as well as the contrasting sensibilities of city and coast, humor and solitude, through their own distinct perspectives.
Rather than approaching surfing simply as a sport or hobby, the exhibition focuses on the sensibilities and attitudes formed through the process of searching for and waiting for waves. Inspired by the surfer’s practice of observing changes in wind, currents, weather, and coastline while adjusting to the rhythm of the surrounding environment, 《SEARCHING 2》 considers how this ongoing act of “searching” can extend into art and everyday life.
By bringing artworks and surf culture together within a single space, 《SEARCHING 2》 invites viewers to encounter surfing not simply in terms of “what one does,” but as a way of “how one sees and lives.”
